Isopodium News: Goofs and More Babies

It is time for another isobabe update! These little critters are making babies left and right! All three species have had several broods of babies. The Dairy Cows have had the most and eat a lot of protein foods.

1/4 A Dairy Cow isopod upsidedown on a dried Magnolia leaf and next to some cholla wood. They flipped themselves over onto their back, kicked their legs for a bit, and then flipped themselves back over! It looked like they were exercising!

2/4 a cluster of tiny Dairy Cow isopods in some moss next to their translucent blue food dish. These babies and many more not pictured clean out their food in about half a day.

3/4 a young Zebra isopod and their parent on some wood chips and next to a dried Magnolia leaf. My isobabes seem to really be into parenting or taking care of the babies. It is adorable to watch the adults almost herd the babies.

4/4 a closeup of a Zebra isopod curled up into a ball inside a hole in a piece of cholla wood. Sometimes they are a little shy.
